Reflection
While creating this lesson I selected technology that would be easy for students to use and technology that they would be familiar with. Many teachers in my school district use Story Jumper to have students bring their written stories to life. In my experience with Story Jumper students are actively engaged and excited to use it. I decided to throw Quizlet in as a review tool, I always have parents asking how they can reinforce skills at home, and this is a great tool to do just that. The videos I incorporated are short yet full of information. I have used Pixar films and BrainPop in the past to introduce or practice reading skills and my students love it! I also utilized the contact form option through Weebly so that I am able to see each individual students work in my email, I don’t have to worry about collecting papers or trying to find out a missing students name. I believe that second graders would enjoy this lesson, establishing basic technology skills would be the key to their success!
